SPDF Privacy Policy

SPDF ("we," "us," or "our") is a desktop plugin for AutoCAD that exports drawings to PDF with advanced features. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (if any), how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
SPDF runs entirely on your local machine. We do not:
- Access your CAD files, drawings, or project data.
- Transmit any file contents to our servers.
- Require user accounts, emails, or personal logins.
- Track your usage without consent.
2. Optional Data Collection (With Consent)
We may offer optional features such as:
- Anonymous crash reporting (via Microsoft App Center or similar).
- Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which export options are used).
These are OFF by default.
You will see a clear opt-in prompt the first time you launch SPDF:
"Help improve SPDF by sending anonymous crash reports and usage stats?"

If you opt in, we collect:

No IP addresses, filenames, or personal data are included.
3. Autodesk App Store & Payments
- Purchases are processed through the Autodesk App Store.
- We do not receive your payment details.
- Autodesk may share your email and purchase ID with us only for license validation and support.
- We use this solely to:
- Confirm your subscription status.
- Send renewal reminders (max 2 emails/year).
- Respond to support requests.
You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
4. Data Security
- All optional data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3).
- Stored on EU-based servers (Hetzner) with daily backups.
- Access limited to one developer (password + 2FA).
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Withdraw consent for optional data (Settings → Privacy in SPDF).
- Request deletion of any stored data (email support@spdf.app).
- Receive a copy of your data (if any exists).
We respond within 30 days.
6. Children
SPDF is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with the new "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of SPDF after changes constitutes acceptance.
